Technology is amazing.
Today I bought myself a CamelBak water bottle. My main reason was because I've found on the last two trips into the bush that I didn't take enough water. That's pretty dangerous, so I figured a bigger water bottle was required.
What I didn't expect was that my water bottle would actually lead me to drink more water.
It's a claim they make on the bottle - that due to its design, you end up drinking more water than you would with bottled water. I didn't believe it until the end of the workday when I realised that in four hours I'd actually drunk more than four times what I'd drunk in the last 2 days out of the Pump bottle on my desk.
What the hell?
Perhaps it's the interesting spout, or that it's a new, shiny toy to play with. Time will tell I guess, but you really do seem to drink more out of these things.
If your new year's resolution is to drink more water, I'd absolutely recommend you splash out on one of these things, they're amazing - and get the 1 litre model, you'll make use of it.
